Holi is an outdoor activity. Look for an open esplanade, a large courtyard, a sports court or a fairground, always well away from delicate façades, cars and washing lines. The powder cleans off most surfaces easily, but it's better to be safe. If the event is held in a public space, remember to arrange the permit with the town council well in advance.
Safety: the part you don't see but that holds everything together
The Holi powders we use are natural-based and suitable for festive use, but the organizers should take care of a few details: recommend goggles or eye protection to anyone who wants them, warn people with respiratory issues, have a water point nearby, and avoid direct throws to the face at close range.
