For Halloween, the Alcalá Magna shopping centre ran «Un grito de película» (Spanish for "a movie scream"): a booth where people dubbed the screams from their favourite horror films. The booth is made by KaraokeMedia, and we customised it with software built for the campaign. It records the scream, shows it on the screen outside the booth and emails the video to whoever screamed. We also built an admin panel to view and vote on all the recordings and pick the winner of the prize draw.

How it worked
The event poster set it out in three steps: have the Alcalá Magna app downloaded; go into the dubbing booth, choose the scene and give voice to the horror; and fill in the form with your details, which entered you in the prize draw. The booth was open on Friday 30 October from 18:00 to 21:00, and on Saturday 31 from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00.
Inside, the booth's screen showed our program with the campaign artwork. Each recorded scream then played on the outside screen, in view of anyone walking past, and the participant got their video by email.

The panel for picking the winner
To give the prize draw a winner we set up an admin panel: it showed every recording received, and they could be voted on.

What can be changed in the booth
It is a KaraokeMedia karaoke booth, the same brand that makes the software for our karaoke. At Alcalá Magna the songs were swapped for horror scenes to dub. For a brand we customise it differently: at Sephora's private event it carried the brand's image outside and its logo on the video. And for the launch of a Sky Italia series we themed a 4 × 2.5 m booth with songs in Italian.
