A photocall is the decorated backdrop people pose in front of; a photo booth is the equipment that takes the photos and hands them over. The photocall sets the scene and people shoot with their phones; the photo booth brings its own camera and light, so the photos do not depend on the light of the place. You do not have to choose one or the other: what works best is the photo booth in front of the photocall. That is how we set it up at an event for a town with our photo booth and 360º video booth.

What a photocall is
It is a backdrop for taking photos: a banner, a curtain, flowers or panels, mounted on a structure. It can carry the couple's names, a company logo or the party decoration. What it does not have is a camera: the photos are taken by the guests with their phones or by a photographer. It works as a meeting point and as a set, but each photo depends on who takes it and on the light in that corner.
What a photo booth is
It is a camera with software that takes the photo when the guest stands in front of it. It carries its own light, so it does not depend on the light of the place, even at night and outdoors. With our photo booth the photos are unlimited, can be printed on the spot and are delivered digitally. If you also want video, the 360º video booth records a clip turning around the group.
- Who takes the photo: at the photocall, each guest with their phone; at the photo booth, the equipment's camera.
- The light: at the photocall, whatever light there is; the photo booth brings its own.
- What the guest takes home: with the photocall, whatever they shot on their phone; with the photo booth, the printed or downloaded photo.
- Setup: the photocall is a fixed set; the photo booth is set up by us, left running and taken down.
Both together: photo booth with photocall at a town event
For an event for a town we set up the photo booth for 2 hours, with unlimited photos and the option to download them to the phone. Behind it we placed the photocall: a truss structure with a silver curtain over a black background and, in the centre, a neon with the slogan «LOVE LIVE LAUGH». The gold posts with red rope marked out the photo area.

The photocall provided the set and the photo booth, the light and the photo: the setup was outdoors and at night, and the photo booth carried its own light. It is the combination we recommend when you want people to take a photo home and the corner to look good in phone photos too.
Which to choose
- If you want every guest to take their photo home, the photo booth: the equipment brings the light.
- If it is outdoors or at night, the photo booth, because it carries its own light.
- If you want a corner with your brand or the couple's names, the photocall; with us it comes as an extra to the photo booth, with your design or a standard one.
- If the event is long, extend the photo booth hours.
The photocall can be customised with the logo or the look of the event. What a photo booth costs and what is included in the price we explain in how much it costs to hire a photo booth for a wedding, and a company case in the photo booth hidden inside a vending machine at the Coca-Cola Music Experience 2026.
