Wedding sound at Los Aljibes with Califa Jerezano

Wedding sound at Los Aljibes with Califa Jerezano

On 3 October 2026 we provided the sound for Califa Jerezano's performance at a wedding at Bodega Finca Los Aljibes, in Chinchilla de Montearagón (Albacete). Enjoy Music Spain hired us to do the live sound: Shure microphones, LD Systems monitoring and an HK Audio main system (PA).

Califa Jerezano: live pop flamenquito

Califa Jerezano is a pop flamenquito band from Córdoba, as Enjoy Music Spain presents them. At Los Aljibes they played in the courtyard of the estate with lead vocals and Spanish guitar, bass, keyboard, percussion and drums, with several voices singing at once. All of that has to sound just as good next to the band as at the back of the courtyard.

What we set up and what each part is for

  • Shure microphones. The vocals, the drums and the congas are miked, so they can be balanced with the rest of the band.
  • LD Systems monitoring for the musicians. They need to hear themselves and each other to stay in time and in tune: without monitors the band plays blind, even if the audience hears it well.
  • HK Audio PA: the sound the guests hear. In an open-air courtyard the sound has no walls or ceiling to lean on.

Sound for a live band at an outdoor wedding

Outdoors you need more power than in a hall, because the sound gets lost instead of bouncing back. As a guide, around 10 W RMS per guest when there is dancing, and 30 to 50% more outdoors; we explain it in detail in how many watts of sound an event needs. With a band, power is not enough on its own: every voice and instrument needs its own microphone and its place in the mix.

What to ask if you hire a band for your wedding

  • Who provides the sound: the band, the agency or a technical company. Make it clear and put it in writing.
  • How many microphones and monitors are needed: every voice and instrument needs its own input, and every musician needs to hear themselves.
  • Where they will play: courtyard, garden or hall. Outdoors you need more power and a plan in case the weather changes.
  • Whether there is a sound engineer for the whole performance, not just the setup.
  • How long they need to set up and test, and when the sound check can be done without disturbing the guests.

If there are also speeches or an outdoor ceremony, it is best for everything to run on the same system: we explain it in sound for an outdoor wedding ceremony and in wireless microphones for weddings. And if the party carries on after the band, a mobile disco can take over.
